Setting up iCal with Google Apps

The Problem:

Setting up iCal to sync with iPad/iPhone on Google Apps Premier. Simply using calendars under the standard “Microsoft Exchange” setup that includes your mail, calendar and contacts, will only sync your master calendar. Other calendars will not be synced.

The Solution:

To sync all calendars, Google has a set of instructions.

Basically, in Settings, you add an “Other” account as CalDAV. Use google.com for the server, then enter your google apps username and password.

You also need to visit https://www.google.com/calendar/hosted/your_domain/iphoneselect to set up the calendars to sync to your device.
